Powerful seism shakes island New Guinea

The U.S. Geological Survey says a coercive seism has agitated island New Guinea.

The authority says the tremble had a origin ratio of 6.9 and struck weekday most 20 miles (32 kilometers) beneath the ocean floor.

It impact nearby the island domain of New Britain, 295 miles (470 kilometers) north of the domestic top Port Moresby.
